Hybrid Builds
Half the hybrids we see already own a twin somewhere else in the bag. We check for that before recommending one.
Every Club You Carry, Laid Out Top to Bottom
Bring the whole bag and we'll list carry distances for everything you currently hit before talking about additions. It's a quick exercise, and it occasionally shows the real fix is a longer iron or a shorter fairway wood rather than a hybrid at all.
Once a real gap turns up, length and flex get matched close to your iron shafts so the transition between the two doesn't feel jarring.
Signs the Gap Is Real
A Clean Break in the Ladder
Fifteen yards or more of daylight between two neighboring clubs, with nothing else already covering that window.
A Long Iron You Avoid
If a 3- or 4-iron sits in the bag mostly untouched, a hybrid replacement often gets played far more often than the club it's replacing ever was.
Enough Spin to Actually Stop
A hybrid launched too flat won't hold a green the way the long iron it replaced sometimes could — worth checking before committing to a build.
See If There's Actually a Gap
The carry chart takes fifteen minutes and costs nothing before you decide to build anything.
